Soap and Glory’s super gloss-giving radiance and repair mask treatment.
I’m a huuuuge Soap and Glory fan. The packaging is cute and the price range is very accessible, even more so when Boots give you 1/3 off or 3 for the price of 2
I happened to be in Boots a few weeks ago and bought this along with several other products in a special deal. I love S&G’s exfoliators so I decided to give this product a go.
Thousands of brands bring out hair treatments every year, to combat dryness or frizzyness or just to give your hair a boost and considering the market is so flooded, when it comes to buying hair products, it’s near impossible to know which ones to choose.
To save you the hassle of testing out this one yourself ; It’s rubbish.
The packaging is awesome as per usual S&G but the product itself ,bar having a pleasant smell, has no pros at all.
It feels gloopy and sticky to touch, as it’s in gel formula. It was hard to apply as the gel was so concentrated and washing it out proved to be even more difficult. I left it in for a few minutes to get the promised “more intensive weekly treatment” and spent a good ten minutes washing it out.
After rinsing my hair, I was disappointed that my hair didn’t feel any smoother or softer. It actually felt drier than usual.
I decided to let my hair dry naturally and see how it looked then. The end result wasn’t any better – my hair felt coarse and heavy. It looked dull and lifeless and it was really hard to manage.
The product promises smooth and shiny hair – if anything, it removed the usual smoothness and shine my hair has. It also claims to coat and control split ends, but it just made my hair feel heavy and as though it was still coated with the product, despite my rinsing it out well.
I did try using the product again, using less to see if it made a difference but the same thing happened – my hair felt sticky even when dry despite me washing the product out, the colour of my hair looked dull, it was quite tangled and course.
Definitely a let down and I wouldn’t repurchase. Shame, because S&G have some really good products and this could potentially put people off the rest of the range.
Of all their stuff, this is the only product I haven’t been happy with… I think it’s just a once-off dud. Save your money for the highly recommended Arch of Triumph or the body exfoliators!
